I looked it up, not standard, but not uncommon.

Five teams have defensive pass game coordinators, two teams (us and Browns) have defensive run game coordinators. Incidentally, the Browns are also one of the 5 teams with a pass game coordinator, and are the only team with both.

I'm not against it at all. Nepotism isn't just a hand-me-down if the child works hard to make something of themselves. I'm glad he's moving Britt around so he can get experience in all phases of the game, so that when Andy is gone, Britt can carry on the legacy. I rarely pass judgement on the parents when trying to help their kids get a leg up, but the kid has to produce something and not treat it like a free paycheck, which Britt hasn't taken advantage of it like some unfortunately do in this world.
