Mahomes in the locker room after the afcc

A friend in KC texted me yesterday. He was talking with a coach who was in the locker room and said that Mahomes was very vocal in the privacy of the locker room after the game.

He was screaming that "we are not going to keep losing games like this." Apparently, even Reid had to calm him down.

Now, this is all hearsay upon hearsay, but it came from a reliable source. I think that - assuming it is true - this is absolutely part of Sutton going. Clark and Reid know that this franchise is about making the most of Mahomes' prime. While he said everything right in the press conference and microphone, it's clear Mahomes knows the defense allowing opposing QBs to score at will has been the downfall all year.

It's a tough loss, but the start of a fantastic journey. I'm more excited at the end of the year than I ever have been.

This information was relayed to me from the perspective of Mahomes was being very fiery, and very vocal, but not calling out anyone specifically. This was not in poor form, but rather a pretty exceptional display of culture change for a team accustomed to losing.

EDITED.

I agree that I can hear him saying we're not going to keep losing like this. But "freaking out on everyone" like it said in OP. I very much doubt it.

We don't know what any of these people are truly like when the cameras aren't rolling. Especially after losing an enormous soul crushing game like that.

It wasn’t at halftime. He said “after the loss”.

I really don’t care if Andy goes anyway. I’m tired of his shit. His betrayal with sutton is fireable. PATRICK M is our franchise, not Kool-ade dude. Go give Nagy a call.
If Andy Reid just wants to be an OC, then he should just hire a "Team Manager" who can do shit like call a timeout when the defense is getting bulldozed on a drive that could determine whether or not we go to the Super Bowl.

Reid can still control everything else, but on gameday, when he wants to just sit his fat ass next to Mahomes and discuss offense, ignoring what is going on with his defense, the Team Manager can handle timeouts, challenges, etc.

I am still pissed off that we ended the game with an exhausted defense, and unused timeouts.

About time someone on this team loses their shit over the defense . . . . .

Lord knows the fans on here have been for long enough.

If Mahomes going ape shit helped to get Sutton fired in anyway, then that is yet something else to thank him for in this fun, yet largely unfulfilling season.

Mahomes seems like a dude who doesn't lose his shit very often but when he does you had best be prepared to get owned.

EDIT: The people who say Mahomes isn't like that or he's like too nice. Like sometimes people who are really even keeled can lose their shit when they're pushed enough. Mahomes isn't going to punch his girlfriend but the idea that a mild tempered person won't go ballistic if they need to is pretty silly.

The halftime report was that it was “spirited” and Mahomes promised to score 30 in the 2nd half. I don’t think there was a report about him melting down until this thread.

Sounds like bs from a piss poor source.

Its ok to be mad about losing its not ok to point fingers no matter how glaring. Also Pat had a pretty shitty first half missing 2 wide open td's along with some wild throws. Brady and Manning dont miss those. Pat was probably geeked up and this was a good learning experience. The second season is completely different than regular season and Belichick is no dummy he was probably studying film since late season figuring they would face. BB schooled the kid in the first half till Pat figured it out.

Pat was visibly angry, I bet, but he'd have gotten his face smashed in by vets like Houston or Bailey if he yelled in their direction. ( justifiably or not )

So glad to see Sutton tossed out on his ass. FINALLY. This Chiefs team will be back in the AFCCG again if the defense gets even a little better.
