Off-Season : Wish List FA & Draft

I wanted to start a thread were we can all discuss exactly who we should target, and thoughts about fixing defense.

So here is how I want thread format to go:

Pick Top Two FA's & Top Two Draft Prospects you would like! and explain why!

Free Agency

http://nfltraderumors.co/top-25-2019...e-agents-list/
Here1

here2

Draft
https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/prospect-rankings/
here3

here4

here5

For me it's the following:

Free Agents :

C.J. Mosely

Ronald Darby

I like the physical nature of both of these players, I believe C.J. Mosely can deliver a run stopping thumb by shooting the gaps, and Darby can provide good run support and great bump and run coverage in man.

Draft Prospects :
Deionte Thompson

I think this kid would be a natural replacement for Berry, and teaming him up with Armani Watt's by having him play SS while Watt's plays FS would be a great combo.

Jerry Tillery
I want some more beef on the D-Line, I think Jerry could play at 315+ and still be able to move. I think he would be perfect for filling gaps and taking on double teams.

I know these guys would need to drop for us to have a chance, hence why its a wishlist.

It's clear to me Berry isn't going to be the Berry of old again. We have to go for someone like Collins or Thomas. I think both Lucas and Watts both show promise and we'll be OK with them. I'm not wild about any CB in either FA or the draft, nor think we should spend a lot of cash/draft capital on an ILB. Don't get me wrong, Ragland has to go, but we have both Niemann and DOD to take his place and, if we go to a 4-3, that lessens the need for an upgrade.

I’d love to get an extra top 50 pick for Ford.

Keep Ford, get Berry's contract off the books, and go from there. After that, everything is gravy.

Post June 1 cut? Otherwise we won't be able to chase any FA's with that contract blasting a hole in our salary cap....

I like your free agents (Darby & Mosley), if it can be done.

Draft: Marquise Brown WR/Oklahoma

Chiefs need 2 LB's, 2 CB's, a DL and a S...and probably a pass rusher because I just don't have any faith in Speaks or KPass.
Definitely, getting practically nothing out of the last two second round picks have hurt.

Two free agent signings.
1. Sign TE Maxx Williams because we could use another TE. He has a high percentage catch rate unlike Mr. Harris.

2. Sign Ronald Darby or re-sign Steven Nelson if Darby not recovered. Reason, we need all of the help we can get in secondary.

Draft
1. DE Zach Allen, Boston College to help defensive line and get after the QB.

2a. S Chauncey Gardner-Johnson, Florida because we need help in the secondary.

2b. CB Michael Jackson SR, Miami (FLA) same reason as 2a.

3. ILB Khalil Hodge, Buffalo because he is a tackling machine and will help against run. Would like him to be faster, but he really reads and reacts well.

5. WR Terry Godwin, Georgia - Not big at 5-11, 185 but will catch everything thrown at him. He is the forgotten WR in Georgia but really looked good in the East-West Shrine Bowl and was named the MVP.

6a. OT Jackson Barton, Utah. Chiefs need a swing OT.

6b. RB Darrin Hall, Pittsburgh. We need another RB.

7. TE Kendall Blanton, Missouri. Project TE but better here than in the 2nd round.

First, Ben Bloom takes DC job, bringing a 4-3 base defense.

Franchise tag and trade Dee Ford, receive a mid second round pick. Which I use to move up and take 2 players on your draft list (which would be neccessary.)
June 1 cut, Justin Houston
June 1 cut, Eric Berry
June 1 cut, Dan Sorensen
Frees up extra $28m or so extra cap money.

I sign Trey Flowers, NE 4-3 DE, 25 years old. He'll play RDE.
I sign Landon Collins, NYG S, 25 years old. can play either S position.

I draft Deandre Baker, CB, Georgia (package a #2 and our #1 to go get him.)
I draft Mack Wilson, ILB, Alabama.

D line left to right: Speaks-Nnadi-Jones-Flowers, Kpass and Williams rotational.
LB-O'Daniel, Hitchens, Wilson, Ragland in short yardage only.
secondary-Fuller, Baker, Ward, Smith as CB's, Collins, Watts, Lucas as safety rotation.
