NFL Tries Expanding its Appeal by Bringing in Male Cheerleaders

Remember where you were for this momentous occasion of masculine magnificence. Anyone who keeps up with football will tell you the sport is going through some changes. The NFL as of late has doused itself with progressive Kool-Aid like some kind of freewheeling coed that one summer at band camp. If you thought kneeling during the anthem was the farthest they would go, have your best mate hold your Bud. Errbody in the club about to get tipsy.

Get ready to say hello to cheerleaders. Equipped with peppy pom-poms and penises. Bouncing bosoms not included. Yet.

NFL fans will see history made this season, and it has nothing to do with what goes on between the goalposts.

The Los Angeles Rams and the New Orleans Saints will have male cheerleaders dancing on their squads for the first time.

Dancers Quinton Peron and Napoleon Jinnies have been preparing for the NFL season since they made the Rams cheerleading squad in March.

There's plenty of men on the field and males on the side lines coaching. Isn't that enough equality?

I think it's an over representation of males with male cheerleaders. Or would you like to see women playing on the field too?

If they can earn a spot on the field, sure. Like with any sport.. Gender should not matter.

My high school had male cheerleaders 20 years ago. Not sure what the big deal is.

Mine had them 50 years ago but that still don't make it right. Guys play football and girls wear short skirts and jump up and down with pom poms.

I don't want to watch girls play football and don't want to watch guys with pom poms.

It was a big one, almost 4000 students and over 1000 in graduating class.

Not sure about the guys and the pom poms back then though, I didn't really watch them.

We had one. He was kind of badass at it....he was super athletic and could do super flips and stuff. And yes, he was quite gay.

I don't know, watching a bunch of barely dressed whores play "football" has caught my attention on youtube at least twice. At the rate the NFL is going, the nearly naked whores league might eventually become more appealing.

I'm with you on not wanting to see the fudge rudders and pom poms though.
