Stephen A. Smith and Sammy Watkins heated debate today

Well, let's just say Stephen A. Smith went insane and would barely let Sammy get a word in edgewise.

I agree. I was wondering about Sammy recently too. I've heard so many different things about him over the past 4 months. At first I heard he might take a year off from football. Then I heard he wanted 100 touches or all hell would break loose. Then it was he wanted a big contract extension. Then it was he was all in on a team friendly deal for this year. There's been a lot of noise out there this offseason and I don't know what to believe. I hope he stays. He's a big piece of this offense. He's immensely talented.

I don't know if Sammy "loves" football the way Mahomes and Travis Kelce love football. But, when it comes down to it, when the game is on the line or it is in a game that really counts you can count on Sammy to LOVE football on that day. Honestly, that is all we really need out of him even if he may mail it in on some of the regular season games (not saying he does, just a theory)

Believe me, it’s not because I’m watching.

First Take has been unwatchable since before SAS. When it was just Bayless being a ****ing asswipe to whomever else they had on there in the 2000s, it was unwatchable even when a lot of espn was still watchable.

I enjoyed SAS when he was just a reporter. He had reasonable well articulated takes. Then he broke the LeBron to Miami thing and ESPN and him developed a Schtick and it’s been all downhill from there.

Smith just says a lot of nonsense, but he says it loud so it makes it seem like he has a clue, which he doesn’t.

talking to Stephen A would be like talking to a crazy person at a bus terminal; the type of guy who has figured everything out / government conspiracies /UFOs / religion etc.

an 'expert' at everything because he shouts everything.

what a great gig; just shout and yell and give opinions on topics on TV and get paid bank.

Yeah I watched some of his show during the playoff run last year. Seems yelling is his schtick.
