By the time he realized he needed him, a dude that hasn't played in 2 years had been sitting on the sidelines for over an hour and there's just no way to reasonably get him back up to speed.

Hubris hit at a bad time. Best answer I can come up with.
Maybe

But my god. I sat there just seeing all this coming. It’s a pretty helpless feeling.

When the chiefs had first and goal from the 1, I honestly thought they should just kneel it twice try and score in third down then kick the fg

I can see it happening that way.

That long TD drive was just so good, though. I get it.

I mean I will NEVER assume we're going to win. The "Because Chiefs" has been beaten into me by both the Chiefs AND Tigers. It's just always there. But man, they imposed their will and just looked great there. It seemed for all the world like they had done just enough to be able to salt it away regardless of what happened.

And then that !@#$ing penalty on the kickoff. You want to be pissed at somebody, I'd be exceptionally pissed at Dave Toub. What the hell was he in the hands team for? Nobody reasonably expected the Chargers to try an onside kid with 3 timeouts and 4 minutes to play - there just wasn't good cause for one.

Once they started on the 10, EVERY coach dials the gameplan back there. I'm sorry, but that's just what happens when you're backed up like that. Coaches know what a disaster area they find themselves in back there and I get it.

That penalty altered that entire drive. If they start on the 25 instead of the !@#%ing 10 yard line, they win that game I am sure of it. Toub shit the bed just as badly as anyone there. And frankly, the special teams have been shite the last 2 weeks.

This team has looked like zombies since the bye week. They've simply not played with any desire or determination. People can put Sutton on blast - I get it. But ****, there's a lot of 'meh' to go around this week.

A block in the back is one of the dumbest penalties you can get. The guy has his back to you....keep your hands off of him because you know it's going to get called EVERY ****ING TIME. Most of the time....the guy you're blocking doesn't even have a shot at the guy with the ball. So ****ing stupid.

From Chiefs wire "Chiefs defensive coordinator Bob Sutton is on fire this week, and not in a good way.

That’s right, Chiefs Kingdom is enraged and rightfully so, following the 29-28 loss to the Chargers on Thursday. Tweets, Facebook posts, even online petitions, all calling for Sutton’s job after the Chiefs blew a 14-point lead with eight minutes left in the fourth quarter. So, for the first time all season, we are finally raising The Hot Seat meter all the way to the PANTS ON FIRE level."

I believe I counted 5 flags on the field. I'm pretty sure everyone that had a flag threw it; we were laughing about it because there were guys 30 yards away from it throwing flags as far as they could just to get near it.

It was that !@#$ing blatant.

It was a baaaaaaaad penalty. You're not going to block up a damn kick return when you were on onside kick coverage anyway. And the ball was only kicked to about the 12 yard line. Just let the dude catch it, run it to the 22 and get tackled.

It was just so stupid. And it altered the entire drive, IMO.

Even backed up, Andy threw it twice. Had another damn penalty though.

The little things just kill them against good teams.

Man. Just prepare yourselves for the 5 seed and a trip to oitt
