Also, they both work in New York so they run into each other a fair amount. I'm not a total expert, but in the things I read, Daredevil always seemed to tolerate Castle more than the other brighter, cleaner superheroes, even when they were at odds. They worked together here and there, which is significant because they are both loners. I'm super excited about him entering for Daredevil season 2. Given the tone of season one, it's a perfect venue for Punisher to enter the MCU. Love the casting as well. This is gonna be good. |

The "spinoffs" are already in place and I don't think will include Punisher on his own. The Punisher is pretty much the only comic book series I read religiously as a kid but I share those sentiments that he might be a bit too anti-hero to carry his own series. We'll just have to see. As far as the other Netflix Marvel series go: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jessica_Jones_(TV_series) Marvel's Jessica Jones[edit] Main article: Jessica Jones (TV series) Former superhero Jessica Jones, who suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder, opens her own detective agency to help people, including other superheroes. In November 2013, Melissa Rosenberg was announced to write and executive produce the series. In March 2014, Loeb stated that Jessica Jones would begin filming after Daredevil. In December 2014, Krysten Ritter was cast as Jessica Jones in the series, officially titled Marvel's Jessica Jones. Filming began in New York City in February 2015.The series is set to premiere in 2015. In December 2014, Mike Colter was cast as Luke Cage,a recurring role in the series before headlining his own series. Marvel's Luke Cage Luke Cage is an ex-con with superhuman strength and unbreakable skin who fights crime on the streets of Hell's Kitchen. Mike Colter will star as Luke Cage in his own series, titled Marvel's Luke Cage. In March 2014, Loeb stated that the series would begin filming after Iron Fist, being the fourth of the individual series. By March 2015, it was instead slated to be the third of the individual series, beginning production after Jessica Jones. Also in the month, Cheo Hodari Coker was announced as showrunner and executive producer of the series. The series is set to premiere in 2016. Marvel's Iron Fist Danny Rand is a martial arts expert, and the superhero Iron Fist. In March 2014, Loeb initially stated that the Iron Fist series would begin filming after Jessica Jones as the third of the individual series. By March 2015, it was expected to be the fourth of the individual series, entering production following Luke Cage. In April 2015, the title of the series was revealed to be Marvel's Iron Fist. Marvel's The Defenders The superheroes Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist team-up in New York City. The Defenders will see Cox, Ritter, and Colter reprising their roles as Matt Murdock / Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and Luke Cage, respectively, from previous television series. In March 2014, Loeb stated that the miniseries, officially titled Marvel's The Defenders, would begin filming after all of the individual series. |

Basically, Punisher is Daredevil if Daredevil gave in to his 'demons'. |

For sure. I just always got the impression Daredevil saw him as misguided while most of the rest of the Marvel heroes see him as a psychopath.

On one extreme was spidey, the other Punisher, and DD was somewhere in the middle as they all visited each other's books. And another thing to consider is that JJ is the only character that isn't "TV friendly." By that I mean it would be really easy for Cage, Puisher, DD, Iron fist, etc. to show up in Agents of SHIELD or another show because the big CGI costs aren't there like Hulk or Thor. SHIELD could go on a mission to capture some arms dealer and there's that crazzy a$$hole Punisher again, killing everyone and ruining the operation. Heck, SHIELD just teasing a cameo by saying "known enhanced in the area are..." and then you're on the edge of your seat waiting to see if any of them show up. Marvel broke new ground with a whole cinematic universe building up to Avengers and they might pull off the same thing with "TV."
