If his defense was as good as you say then this wouldn't be the case.

Aldridge averages 19.6 PPG on 41.3% shooting against Green/Warriors (on 18.2 FGA) and 19.1 PPG on 48.6% shooting career (on 15.9 FGA).

Griffin averages 20.1 PPG on 46.6% shooting against Green/Warriors (on 16.6 FGA) and 21.5 PPG on 51.8% shooting career (on 16.0 FGA).

Try again. If you're going to bring nonsense to the table to support your ridiculous claims, at least don't make it so easy to refute in the future.

If you're going to talk about 'elite defense' then Green better not allow players to average their regular season average (and sometimes better) against him 1-on-1.

And @ your field goal percentage stat. 46 is still damn good. Not too impressive for an 'elite' defender.

'elite' apparently now means 'average' according to KCC.

There is no benefit to staying put.

Trading love for butler or George is the only way. It's a big upgrade because of system fit. George and I bet lebron will probably opt out but it will be worth it for one last run. And no Cleveland fan should be upset if lebron leaves Cleveland this way.
They do have trade chips, Kyrie or Love.

I read this morning that the Pacers are looking for a starter + 2 1st rd picks and so if the Cavs want George it will have to be a 3 - team deal since they don't have any 1st round picks until sometime next decade.

Anyone else think the Cavs basically sacrificed the series to pad offensive stats? The more I think about it, the fact that they tried to up and down the court with GSW just defies logic no matter how much you hate Lue.

No. The Cavs played this way because of Lue and I totally disagree with him. He got rid of lunch pail guys like Delly and mozgov and traded for soft spacers like korver and Frye. After Lue was hired he said his first priority was to increase the speed of the game.

The Cavs did it all year. They went from a decently balanced team last year to a sprint team. And it hurt them big time in a few ways against golden stage. First, because Cleveland now plays awful defense, they had to score 150 points to win. Second, their bench depth played atrocious and gave up huge runs. Third, the strain on the starting 5 led to a lot of tired players in the 2nd half.

They would have to give up Love. Is adding another wing really the way to go?

Turns out that one of the best defenders in the league means you have a large impact on the games.
You really need to chose a metric and stay with it. So Draymond is worth more than KD according to the first metric. You believe that? And like I said, playing within a system that doesn't depend on one player makes all the other players better.

GM David Griffin fired by the Cavs. I don't blame them. He should have never hired Tyron Lue, traded for Kevin love or given Tristan Thompson a $82 mil contract.

Oh wait.

He actually wasn't fired, his contract was up and both parties decided they weren't interested in working together again.

I'm sure he was fed up with LeBron's BS.

But this is definitely a power move by LeBron.
