Andy Reid coming off a bye week is something like 16-3. And his record against the Raiders is pretty lopsided as well, IIRC.

Straight up, I don't think the Raiders can beat the Chiefs, considering that our OL will be healthy and so will all of our important offensive weapons. Ditto almost all of our defensive starters.

Against the spread, 8.5 points is a lot of points. Generally speaking, you bet the dog for anything over a TD.

However, it wouldn't surprise me if this was our "get right" game, and we beat them by more than two scores.

The way we are currently playing, anyone can beat us! The Raiders are a middle of the road team just like the Titans/Texans/Colts who all beat us...

That said, I hope we don't take it for granted and lay the wood to them.

I was kind of hoping for an ugly win against LAC. That was good to win, but help to refocus us going into a bye. Don’t want our squad thinking shit is fixed and getting complacent. Lots of work yet to do.

I expect the Chiefs to roll. Everything is in Reid’s favor:

Healthy team
Far superior QB
Division Opponent
Home game
Coming off a bye
Team is rebounding after an ugly stretch

This is exactly where an Andy Reid team tends to succeed. Wouldn’t shock me if we win out.

That was last year. I feel like this year the Raiders are slightly less of a joke, but I still don't think they are going to beat the Chiefs.

We very easily could have lost to the Chargers, a team that the Raiders beat. It seems the gap is closing in the AFCW more this year than in a long time. Which is good, because if we win playing in a competitive division, nobody can call us the Patriots of the West.

Raiders are not a joke. But they will not be able to handle the Chiefs after a bye week.

It can’t be understated how important this game is.

If we win our remaining AFC West games (all at home), then there is only one path for the Raiders to take the division:

Chiefs lose to both the Bears and Patriots

AND

Raiders have to win all of their other games

I don’t think either of those will happen.
