You could chop off the foot with Haglunds and send him out there with a slowly oozing stump leg, and he'd still be better than Rob Parker.

Yep. I'm of the mind right now that I don't care about any of the rest of it. I want to see the best Chiefs team on the field on Sunday and right now, I think that includes Eric Berry.

It's not a grudge thing for me. I just know that the 2 games he took any snaps we lost.

The defense vs the Chargers in the first half with Berry and in the second half without him was WAY different. And the Seattle game....we started basically two rookie CBs against a damn good QB. |

So the question, now that we've seen the Raiders and Colts games, is an obvious one. Was it a result of getting Eric Berry on the field or getting Ron Parker off it? Because the defense has looked damn good with Lucas in there assuming Berry's role of late. And if starting Berry 'on a snap count' means that we have to send Lucas in there in the 2nd half or 4th quarter cold - I think I'd steer clear of it. Maybe if it was just a 'Berry for 1 quarter to fire everyone up and then Lucas' plan, I'd be on board. But we simply cannot find ourselves with a need to switch horses mid-stream. If Reid isn't confident that Berry can play the whole damn game, I'd activate him but keep him exclusively as a reserve in the event Lucas or Sorensen get injured.

QFT, it makes no sense to me. Berry can help us win, and at the end of the day, if we win this game, who really cares how long he was out this year? We need to get a W, and he is arguably one of our best players on defense even if he isn't 100%.
