It seems weird, but a tie game at that point just seems like a much better situation. If we had led by 1, we're likely going to be more conservative in an attempt to milk the clock and try to end the game. If that doesn't go as planned, we likely punt and have to hope that we don't let them into field goal range.

Since it was tied, we HAD to remain aggressive in an attempt to score. It's a weird feeling for sure, but a tie game (or even being a bit behind) always feels like an advantage with the ball in 15's hands.

I said this in the game thread as soon as the conversion happened. We have seen too many times it be pretty hit and miss with lots of misses on running out the clock when a score isn’t needed.

Chiefs are at their best when Andy is forced to be aggressive. Earlier in the game, you had the 4th and 3 from easy field goal range, which turned into a missed FG. Meanwhile the Eagles coach had no fear about going for it on 4th and 5 at midfield. That decision turned into a TD drive for Philly.

I kind of felt the same way.

It might have been smart for them to onside kick it if they miss the 2pt conversion. At worst that gives us a short field so we can't burn all the time, and they can try to hold us to a FG.
