Spags is going to create pressure from every level. Would have been great to get Melvin, but I am sure we have a Plan B ready.

Veach has to have a back up plan. I understand Veach didn't want to pay close to Ogbah money for Ingram. That's a big loss though.

To be honest I liked the focus on the secondary in the draft and FA. Our DL was turd last year, Ingram absolutely elevated it. But we've chosen to focus on shoring up the secondary, that's fine by me. It's also possible he finally starts showing his age and falls off a cliff. But the idea that he was mediocre for us last year, especially compared to what else we had out there, is bizarre. Agree to disagree i guess.

I don’t think there is a backup plan. We’re done with this for the year. The whole tender/tag thing was just for a free pick. My guess is any plan that exists is more focused on 2023 and beyond. Maybe work some extensions, etc.

No one is betting on Frank Clark. As always, I'll give Veach the benefit of the doubt until the season starts. No need to fuss at this point before we see the final DL product. |

Dunlap? Clowney? JPP? Likely a few others via cuts throughout the offseason? And we have plenty of draft assets to trade if need be. Ingram doesn’t move the needle anymore than the aforementioned names, most of which will likely be the same cost. Ingram isn’t that great. He just stood out last year because nobody on our defense played with any effort or intensity outside of him and Bolton. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
