Cause he was so good for Tannehill.

He's an asshole who should be selling insurance, but he once had Peyton Manning doing his job for him, so he must be a good coach.

Did you see Tannehill’s #’s the last few years? They’re about as good as you could hope for.

It’s pretty obvious he got the most out of him.

Those Dolphins teams were absolutely terrible in terms of talent and he got the most out of them every year too.

I’m not saying he’s a home run hire, but he’s better than ****ing McCarthy.

He went from 4000 and TDs in the mid-to-upper 20s to throwing for 70 fewer ypg with Gase this year. Great argument

Because his injuries had nothing to do with him getting worse?

Tannehill and ALL of the Dolphins WR’s missed significant time due to injuries this year. Wilson, Stills, Parker, Grant etc.

Stop making judgments on this years stats without context.

Jets want a coach who can beat the Patriots. Gase has proven to be a guy who can beat the Patriots.
Widely considered to be an offensive guru and works well with QBs.

I can see why the Jets hired him. Not bad IMO.

How many Super Bowls has Gase won as a HC?

Even a dumbshit such as yourself can count to zero.

The Jets are hiring a guy whose team just quit in him, congrats.

Yeah! Remember when Gase had Aaron Rodgers and totally wasted him?

Oh wait.

Remember when Gase developed Aaron Rodgers from a player who had barely played a snap in the NFL sitting behind Brett Favre to a Super Bowl MVP?

Oh wait.

Lol yea there’s no difference between having a guy like Rodgers and Tannehill. Not to mention 10 more ****ing seasons.

We should fire Reid and hire McCarthy right now actually.

Didn’t McCarthy just have an elite QB quit on him? Crazy that despite having Tannehill (for 11 games) as opposed to Rodgers and having his team quit on him, Gase still had a better record than the Packers did.

How old are you, 5?

Apparently that is how far your football memory goes back to.

When Mike McCarthy became Green Bay's HC, Aaron Rodgers was a second year player who had barely taken any snaps behind Brett Favre and there were questions regarding Rodgers' viability as an NFL QB.

McCarthy deserves credit for developing Rodgers into a Super Bowl MVP. He didn't inherit Rodgers as an established/veteran QB like Gase did with Manning in Denver.

You’re right let’s ignore the last several years of his team and offense underachieving because he might have had a big role in Rodger’s development. If he is the reason for Rodgers success, then you wouldn’t know it by Rodgers feelings about him and his offense.

Again, you keep shitting on Gase’s results in Miami when McCarthy’s been even worse with an elite QB. I don’t give a **** about what McCarthy did 5-10 years ago.

Gase has as many playoff appearances as McCarthy since he became the Dolphins HC despite his starting QB being average at best and playing in just 50% of the games.
