Supreme Court strikes down federal anti-sports gambling law

I thought about that actually, and DWI laws. They we're also forced on the states. And, although they are good laws to have in the books, the government was still overstepping their powers in forcing the states to act. I didn't include them because I didn't want to come across wrong as being against DWI laws. But the way that those laws we're enacted, I believe, is unconstitutional.

That law was passed because of insurance companies as well as the burden to long and short term disability. It wemt against a persons right of choice.
If the governmemt did it for safety and health concerns then tobacco and alcohol would also be illegal.

I don't know. It's a gray area. I'm not as against it as I am adult seatbelt laws. It is the parents responsibility to protect their children. My daughter always wears her seatbelt. I make sure of it. And not because some politicians made a law about. I make her wear it for her protection. That's my job. Not the governments. God damn it. I was hoping this law would stand (selfishly). I really don't think it will take it's toll on Vegas as much as people think. People go to Vegas because it's Vegas and for the atmosphere. It might hurt March Madness weekend or something like that a little, but people already know they can sportsbet at offshore sites. That is my worry, that people will be less inclined to play on Bovada, BetOnline and that in turn it will effect the online poker games by potentially losing some of the sportsbetting clientele.
