How does Dan Quinn still have a job?

This dude and Matt Ryan are the two biggest choke artists in the NFL. 28-3 completely ruined that franchise.

I agree with your overall analysis here but I probably would take JA over Brees right now. Brees looks washed to me.

Not really the right thread for this, but today Nagy apparently has decided the switch to Foles and off Tru-Biscuit is official.

I guess we'll get a pretty good look at Allen in a few weeks.

You might be right. Obviously JA is a much better athlete, more elusive, harder to tackle, loads more arm talent, etc. But he's a chaos bomb. He's got the "Wtf are you doing?" gene. At least Brees is predictably going to give you the same game, every game. But his arm might really be done, which drastically reduces his ability to stretch the defense.

It'll be interesting to see how both guys go through the season.

Brees is very lucky to have Kamara. Ton of YAC on those little dump-off throws.

I certainly have no interest in defending Adam Gase, a terrible coach who shouldn’t have been hired to begin with. However, in the spirit of scripted ESPN like “talk shows”, I’ll argue why Quinn should be out first.

A. You can argue that the Jets are playing to their expectation level. Everyone and their mom knew the Jets were the overwhelming favorites for the top pick in 2021 and that they even had a semi decent shot at an 0-16. The Falcons were poised for a rebound season and had many “experts” expecting a playoff push.

B. Gase hasn’t been at the helm of some of the most embarrassing collapses in team sports history. The Jets start all games sucking so there’s nothing noteworthy when they lose. The Falcons, under Quinn, will never be forgotten for their epic, unexplainable, unfathomable collapses time and time again.

They both suck. The fact that they have jobs highlights that some owners what to win and some owners just want to own. They both should be fired. But for the immediate future, Quinn has to be out now.

Gase is one of the many guys who owe their careers to Peyton Manning.

It's one thing to flatter another QB. It's another thing to anoint them when they haven't earned it. This place does plenty of the latter.
