Didn’t McCarthy just have an elite QB quit on him? Crazy that despite having Tannehill (for 11 games) as opposed to Rodgers and having his team quit on him, Gase still had a better record than the Packers did.
How old are you, 5?

Apparently that is how far your football memory goes back to.

When Mike McCarthy became Green Bay's HC, Aaron Rodgers was a second year player who had barely taken any snaps behind Brett Favre and there were questions regarding Rodgers' viability as an NFL QB.

McCarthy deserves credit for developing Rodgers into a Super Bowl MVP. He didn't inherit Rodgers as an established/veteran QB like Gase did with Manning in Denver.

That is a completely uninformed statement, blaming the Dolphins' front office for their lack of talent.

Gase ran off players such as Ajayi and Landry because he wanted no part of supposedly "high maintenance" players who weren't part of the "high character" locker room he wanted to created.

It is a similar version of the Patriots Way bullshit.

You’re right let’s ignore the last several years of his team and offense underachieving because he might have had a big role in Rodger’s development. If he is the reason for Rodgers success, then you wouldn’t know it by Rodgers feelings about him and his offense.

Again, you keep shitting on Gase’s results in Miami when McCarthy’s been even worse with an elite QB. I don’t give a **** about what McCarthy did 5-10 years ago.

Gase has as many playoff appearances as McCarthy since he became the Dolphins HC despite his starting QB being average at best and playing in just 50% of the games.

I don't need to shit on Gase's results in Miami, they shit on themselves.

23-25 in three years, including 0-1 in the fluke, Todd Haley in KC-like playoff season he had in 2016.

During the same 2016 season when Gase had his one brief playoff appearance, McCarthy took Green Bay to the NFC Championship Game.

Wow so you mean despite both finishing 10-6 in 2016, McCarthy was able to win a couple of playoff games with arguably the GOAT QB?

It’s almost like this is a QB driven league. Shame on Gase for not turning Ryan ****ing Tannehill into the next Rodgers.

Oh wait, it wouldn’t have mattered anyways because Tannehill couldn’t stay healthy. He played in 24 out of 48 games and you wonder why Gase struggled in Miami? Are you ****ing reeruned?

[Breer] My understanding is Gregg Williams, ex-Broncos coach Vance Joseph and ex-Colts coach Chuck Pagano are the 3 in the mix to be Jets coach Adam Gase's DC

Name a QB that Gase has developed into a successful NFL QB.

Manning was already an established/successful QB when Gase coached him (served as his glorified intern) in Denver.

He was literally an OC for one year outside of that with Jay Cutler as his QB and Tannehill was already there when he got to Miami.

You can’t develop a QB if you don’t have to opportunity.

So why do you think he'll be good for Darnold?

So what makes him a supposed QB guru/successful developer of young QB's? That's why the Jets hired him, to develop Darnold.

McCarthy has a track record of successfully developing an NFL QB... Aaron Rodgers. Yes he developed Rodgers into a Super Bowl MVP, despite how it ended for McCarthy in Green Bay, that fact cannot be denied.

Gase hasn't developed anyone in the NFL.

He failed in Detroit in 2007 as their QB coach.

He failed in San Francisco in 2008 as an offensive assistant

In 2011 as Denver's QB coach with Brady Quinn and Tim Teblow? Are you giving him credit for Teblow throwing 5 passes a game and getting out of the way of Denver's defense/running game?

In 2012-2014 he was Manning's glorified intern in Denver.

In 2015 Jay Cutler (a veteran QB) had an average year in Chicago

And he failed to develop Ryan Tannehill in Miami.

That is Gase's resume.

QB Coach/Offensive Assistant/OC/HC with five different franchises over the past 12 years and he hasn't successfully developed a single NFL QB.

But apparently he just needs more "opportunities".

By opportunity I mean actually having a young talented QB like Darnold to develop. There’s clearly a huge difference between this situation and those.

Also, what good does it do if you can develop a QB into the GOAT QB but your dinosaur offense and lack of creativity offensively hold him back to the point that he gets fed up with you? You guys keep talking about Gase with Landry/Ajayi but are failing to acknowledge the Rodgers/McCarthy rift.

One guy had the GOAT QB for 10 years and has 1 ring and absolutely nothing else to show for it while the other had 3 years (but only 24 games) with an average QB at best. There’s clearly a huge difference in time and opportunity but keep being an ignorant ****ing moron.
