Give the defense some credit

Wait, hear me out here.

Our D got two huge stops late in the game that led to the 14pt. lead. Also on that last drive, at least they strung it out until after the two minute warning - which was huge (thanks Steelers for being in no hurry either).

We know they suck. But if they can at least be tough late and get a key stop every now and then, that could be good enough for the Mahomes show.

Well...I really thought we could beat the Titans last year...

I don't know what the **** you keep blithering on about, but a 3 man line doesn't mean PREVENT.

I saw a lot of 3 deep zone, a lot of Cover 3 and Cover 2...a lot of soft zone...but they were blitzing on the last Pitt drive, so...where is this 'Prevent' you speak of?

What quarter? What play, specifically?

Put up or shut up time, because I don't think you really have any idea about what the **** you're talking about.

I don't think he's criticizing teams that score a lot of points or saying he wants Martyball. A 24-21 game has plenty of offense.
I'm tired of seeing all the ****ing flags on defensive holding and DPI. I'm tired of seeing rules protecting our QB. I kinda like that we have a QB who can take advantage of it, but for the benefit of the game, it's not better this way.
Hah. I didn't even see the post he quoted. I took it way out of context.

My bad, bewbies!

If they would cut down on the secondary holding penalites, the D would look much, much, better. Took us out of some key third down stops. I know its asking a lot of the secondary to cover their man for what seems like 30 seconds or longer, but they need to be more "sneaky" about it!

I said it a couple of years ago when I witnessed that abomination at Arrowhead in the playoffs against the Steelers. We were going to continue to get screwed by the refs until we get a real QB. Now we have a real QB and he beat the Steelers despite a few one questionable calls.

This defense is what we thought they were going to be, much better against the run but worse against the pass. Hitchens, Ragland, Williams, Nadi.....those guys make a difference against the run. Still need CBs and safeties, though.

Your point is valid but, I think Sutton needs to make them go through some tackling drills in practice. Obviously, they have forgotten how to do it properly.

Actually, that would probably be better. Part of the reason I don't watch much soccer (and I imagine a lot of people feel the same) is that the scoring is nearly non-existent. I love some defense but I loathe watching my team not be able to score. Those 12 points against the Steelers last year was so painful to watch.

I think they're holding because they have to. Also it seemed like a lot of those holding penalties when our pass rush was non-existent - either because we rush 3 or we get mugged or both. Oh yeah - also because other than Ford no one can get to the QB.
