Is there a site anywhere that goes more into detail about Stats? Meaning the Power, Alacirty (spelling?) critical, those type of stats.
I think these are stats that become present on Armor and weapons after level 20. You can also find them on Relics that boost them for "X" period of time. As a JK Sentinel, which would be more beneficial? Power or Crit? |

Wow. I'm actually impressed with this and will be even more impressed if they actually stick to it. I don't play MMORPG's, but I can't stand the whole, "b00bM4n" names in them. I realize that MMORPG's aren't really about roleplaying, but they'll never be about roleplaying as long as people are allowed stupid ass names.

Your energy/force pools are static, so nothing there to worry about stat-wise (at least as I recall). However, your different companions will have a different stat focus. So you'll need to pay attention to what kind of weapons and armor you can give them. In addition, if you want to use it (and I tended to, because I use my companions a lot) the stat called Precision makes your companions stronger by increasing their health, damage and healing. Some other stats that don't start to come into play until the middle of the game, that you mentioned are alactrity, which basically speeds up your skills, critical chance, of course, and then something called surge, which if I remember correctly makes your crits hit for more. Your main stat plays into some of this (as I recall it impacts crit directly), and you can play around with your gear to figure out what you like. Oh, and there's absorbtion, as well, which is a tanky thing. And finally there's expertise, which is the PvP stat. My understanding is that you get that on PvP gear. I haven't PvPed at all, but I believe it affects how much damage you give/receive in PvP. It's a useless stat for PvE. The short version would I guess be: Strength – Primary stat for Jedi Knights and Sith Warriors Presence – Increases the effectiveness of your companions (Modifies Companion Health, Damage and Healing) Aim – Primary stat for Troopers and Bounty Hunters Cunning – Primary stat for Smugglers and Imperial Agents Endurance – Modifies Max Health and Health Regen Willpower – Primary stat for Jedi Consulars and Sith Inquisitors Expertise – Increases your effectiveness in Player vs. Player combat. I think that covers it all. The stuff is actually pretty clearly defined in the game, too. |

Keg, Thanks for the explanation. I knew about the main stats it was the "minor" stats that were unknown to me.
I was at the light side vendor and noticed the Relics you could buy from him. I didn't know about that before and I was excited I could get some more Endurance for my then JK Guardian. Well I started looking at it and it showed the obvious +30 to endurance or +15 or whatever but then it had +60 to Power for 90 seconds or something like that. As a Defense Spec Guardian I didn't know what those "minors" actually did. I think I just said screw it and took the Alactirity since I really just wanted the endurance addition in a slot that didn't have anything in it before. I figured anything is better then nothing. I might go more Crit if I am doing my main as a JK Sentinel in the Watchmen path. There are some Burn effects that if they crit will heal you. |

Yeah, my sentinel will be Watchman as well. Although I'm still batting around the idea of maybe playing a dps Guardian. I'm not sure which I'll do, and I doubt it's a class I'm going to replay, because while I want to experience the story, I really hate playing melee dps classes. Maybe as much as I hate being a healer.
I think actually with Zen, in Juyo form, you get 100% crit chance in your bleeds, plus 1% healing to your entire party. Add cauterize and overload saber to that, and once you have Merciless Zeal you're healing yourself for 6% of your health every tick. I actually didn't explore that tree on my thanksgiving Marauder, and I can say with surety there's no way I'm not going that route in the live game, especially since my Sentinel will be a solo toon... |

Here is my question.
I will be playing Assassin Tank. Willpower is the primary stat for the class, but I'm wondering if Endurance will end up being the primary stat for that particular class combination choice. Only because you want as much health as possible as a tank. Or will Willpower, a long with raising other attributes, help your health out? |

It's not really a matter of Willpower versus Endurance, because all Inquisitor equipment will give you plenty of both, and in the end I think you'll need as much of both as you can get. Although there will be some difference in terms of percentage of endurance/willpower (it will differ on different sets with different focus), I think the major difference that you'll find will come in terms of ancillary stats, like choosing absorption (since you're tanking) over (spell) power or critical chance.
And eventually they'll have dual-speccing in, so you may end up having a couple of different sets anyway... Speaking of Inquisitors: |
