The strip search part is the most fun.

If you sing this song, you will likely be excused from jury duty:

I got chosen about 8 years ago out of over 200. We sat for 20 minutes listening to a judge explain what to expect. I acted quiet and disinterested they paired it down to 60 and I was one.
We took short break still not knowing what case was about. Then we went into the court chamber lawyers for accused and prosecution were there with culprit. They ask weird questions an randomly picked certain people to answer. I kept my head down and acted disinterested not saying a word. Low in behold I was selected. I thought holy shit. We took break by then. It was 3 pm. After 15 minutes we were escorted to jury box and seated then sworn in. This was gonna be settled that day. We watched evidence listened to both lawyers never once hearing from accused. It was a DWI 3rd offense if convicted he was serving time. About 7 pm case was sent to deliberation every one was tired we put put our votes on paper and into a tray. The jury Forman counted fry except 2 decanters. Back to deliberation and on 3 more times each time more decented. Finale vote he was found innocent because people wanted to go home I didn't want to be that one guy. I figured that guy would wind up killing someone behind the wheel. On way out courthouse about 9 pm the prosecutor was out in hall talking her staff she was a babe. I just went up and asked why I was chosen. She was honest and said because I was quiet but attentive listening even if not participating. So be forwarned. typed with my trusty nose picker using Tapatalk

OP:
Were you selected? What happened? If you were selected and trial is still going on, I understand you can’t discuss it but I did wonder what happened. |

Welp.... I'm on the jury. We had a group of about 40-50 yesterday morning. Out of that, they selected 21 to be in the jury box pool. They then told us to come back at 4:30. They did the same thing for the afternoon group. They then selected the 14 jurors (12 & 2 alternates) out of both groups. So, out of the jury box pool, I had a 1 in 3 chance. It is a criminal trial so at least I shouldn't be bored to death. But it also sounds like some of it will be tough to witness. I can't say anything about it until next week after this is over.
