Imo this is getting out of hand.

What does Veach see in Clark to think he’s worth multiple premium picks AND a top end contract?

He’s not that good.

Especially against the run.

He’s better than Ford, but not enough to justify the type of compensation being floated around.

Hopefully Veach is bidding up Indy and Oakland and will walk away.

Clark is really good. Not elite, but he’s an all-around stud who is still young and will fit this defense like a glove at LEO.

For all we know, Veach and Reid may not love this draft class, and they may see a couple of 2nd round picks in ‘19/‘20 as being much less valuable than a proven commodity such as Clark.

Like it or not, this move would signal that they are ready to make a run this year. And odds are, they’ll still be able to add a couple of really solid contributors through the draft as well (especially if 29 is kept).
