It all ties together. The pass rush was what it was this year because we blitzed a ton. We did that because we were able to play man on the back end with Sneed and Mcduffie.
One going changes the whole thing. |

I'd try and get that #29 pick from Detroit. They need a CB and they've got the cap space.

Didn't even realize how many draft picks the Cardinals have.
Round 1 Round 1 (via HOU) Round 2 Round 3 Round 3 (via TEN) Round 3 (via HOU) Round 4 Round 5 Round 5 (via HOU) Round 7 (via NYG) Round 7 (via CLE) |

Not if one of the guys steps up into that role. Josh Williams is a potential breakout player at CB for us.

Williams and Nazeeh Johnson probably have the best chance. Williams was supposed to be the upside guy out of Watson and Williams and Johnson was playing ahead of both before the acl in July.

I don't think you can get a first rounder for Sneed -- remember, the team trading for him has to also pay him a ton. Would you want to give up our first for the "right" to make a player one of the highest paid at his position?

I think at the end of the day you look at value.
-Chris Jones is a harder player to replace, even if he's not the 2022 best version. That's hard to find. -we don't need a CB1 with Trent here -Josh Williams was a solid CB this year. Think he's capable if starting and playing well -Nazeeh Johnson was a camp favorite last year and can do the things Sneed and McDuffie do. -the defense still played well without McDuffie for half of 2022 and also against the Bengals without Sneed. -Yhe offense isn't going to rely on the defense to win every game next season. Mahomes winning on the highest cap hits a QB has ever had in back-to-back years wasn't just him. The Tyreek trade was a huge part of that begin possible. I think it's concerning having major injuries for Omenihu, Allegretti and Thuney. I think I would trade Sneed, even if you get a 2nd and 4th. Picks are so important, especially when you have a GM with a track record of making great picks.

Yeah, if I could get anything of value for him, I'd do it. But signing him to an extension isn't necessarily an issue.
He'll probably play to the contract going forward. The issue they're gonna have is Thuney. |

I'll remind you we would have 0 titles without Chris...and I'll throw in we don't win the first title without the Shart deal

The Chiefs have had good luck drafting defensive backs. Not as much history with drafting great defensive tackles. Do what it takes to resign Jones and Tag and Trade Sneed. This isn't rocket surgery.
