So according to your assessment, Mahomes gets penalized for close wins over the likes of Arizona and the Raiders, but Brees doesn't get penalized for close wins/struggles against the likes of Tampa and Carolina?

What about Phyllis/the Chargers only beating a Jeff Driskel-led Bengals team by 5 points?

Yes, that's what I'm saying. Veterans like Brees and Rivers will get the benefit of the doubt and the 1st-year starter in Kansas City won't. Brees is an NFL poster boy and Rivers is a veteran in a big market. Fair doesn't really matter.
