Personally, I love Veach's reclamation projects.

I mean, all of these guys were taken very high, were considered top prospects, and it didn't work out for one reason or another, but you know if anyone can get them to show out, it's THIS coaching staff.

Love it.

Here’s what I got on John Ross…

The bad (confirmation of what a few have said)

John has only been able to suit up for 37 games out of a possible 80.

He’s had 143 targets and only produced 61 catches on those targets. Pretty bad. He had bad QB play during those years, but still. That’s really bad.

The path to hope

He’s as fast as anyone in the league and you don’t need to catch to run fast with the football and there will be opportunities in this offense to do exactly that.

It's a pretty low risk option so worth at least seeing what he can do in camp...

BUT

Given their injury history, a 53-man roster with any combination that includes WRs Kadarius Toney, John Ross, or Justyn Ross better be prepared with some good WRs on their practice squad. All have a high probability of missing games.

It’s weird to think about a wr faster than Hill with all memories of hill throwing that peace sign. I hope john Ross can stay healthy. It probably won’t happen but if he could find a way to stay healthy. Who knows? Watch he makes this DB look like he’s not moving as he passes him. And Daniel Jones under throws him so bad.

The thing with Hill is he keeps his speed in pads. He's a little dude, but he's stout. These little thin WR's like Ross can fly in shorts, but they lose a little something in pads, and when they get hit, it takes a lot out of them.

I think Skyy Moore is the best candidate to run the Hardman gadget plays. He sems like he will be durable and tuff to bring down.

Maybe, but it seems so me that Skyy goes down easily, and is he fast enough?

Agree. The numbers are against him unless some injuries happen in camp or preseason.

2023 WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Skyy Moore, Kadarius Toney, Richie James, Justin Watson, Rashee Rice, Justyn Ross, John Ross, Ty Fryfogle, Cornell Powell, Ihmir Smith-Marsette, and Nikko Remigio.

Justyn Ross, if he looks good in preseason, might force Chiefs to go with 7 WRs, but that would be really tough to do. One less DB, TE, or LB on the roster.

Chiefs will also keep a couple of WRs on the Practice Squad. Maybe John Ross ends up there.
