So neither deal has a chance to work? That's what you're saying but the Franchise deal is a a little closer. OK But I'm "the ignorant fool" and you and franchise are the "experts" who got this nailed. What a pompous ass. To say I don't even understand it makes you even more a condescending ****. Some people really think their opinions are undisputable and facts. I'll just agree to disagree

Put me in he camp of wanting MHJr. Irregardless of the cost. It would benefit Mahomes and the Chiefs a lot more in the long run. To say different would be insane. I'm not wanting Veach to give up the farm for JJ. Just my .02.

Wait until Kelce retires at the end of JJ's next contract and sign him up to get a ring.

I just throw $100 chips in the trash can or rip up $100 bills at the poker table and throw them on the floor. Seems pretty effective.

we're not getting anybody that's mega expensive. He's gonna be the highest paid WR probably.

I asked the question in the draft forum about a week ago and estimated his trade value at 2024 1-32 and 3-95 and 2025 1st and 4th if we were making the trade, which puts the value the same as Tyreek based on the Rich Hill model (357 pts for both if valuing next-year picks at the middle of the next round). Tyreek was 2022 1-29, 2-50, and 4-121 and 2023 4th and 6th.
If the Vikings are looking to trade him, I don't know how open they'd really be to taking a guy like Sneed on a tag-and-trade in return because they do need to free up cap and Jefferson is freeing up 19.7m for them. Sneed on the tag is 19.8. They can probably bring that figure down on a re-sign to about 12 but I don't know about much lower. They'd probably have interest in Reid as well, but even he would transfer at 10.6m. After that, they need pass rushers and I just don't see us trading any of ours away. Anyhow, it's a lot of draft capital you'd be looking at trading for one guy. I'm not worried about the money because you get him at 19.7 this year and next year would be a fairly friendly number on a re-sign or tag (it's 21.8 this year). When real money starts to hit in 2026, you don't have most of the team left on contracts and you can build around it. Thuney is gone. Kelce is gone. Taylor is on the last year of his deal, etc. Would I do it? Well... it's the equivalent of the 11th overall pick in trade value and you know you are getting a HoF caliber player. I think that's fair. That said, I think you're giving up Chris Jones and signing Sneed if you make this trade as a best case. I'm not sure how I feel about that. You're getting alot better on offense but you're losing a game-wrecker on defense. I'm prepared to lose Sneed. I'm not really prepared in my mind to lose Chris. But **** it. Sign me up as a yes, go for it. It becomes a **** yes if they'd take Justin Reid and 2 1s. |

Yes, because you’re still not following that you were the one who made the comparison between these two deals as if they’re apples to apples, when they clearly wouldn’t be.

I don't get why Jones leaving has any bearing on this. He's most likely gone regardless. If there was a deal to be made it would've been made. Move on, and if Veach thinks this is an opportunity worth pursuing then go all in and secure him. A HOF WR at 24 is well worth it.

Regardless, I don't see how the Texans aren't ALL OVER this if Jefferson is actually available. It makes too much sense for them.

Yeah, the Texans have the rookie QB deal to play with.
You guys know me and my trading but even I'm skeptical about this one. |
