Note on the #Chiefs offensive line that lost its 2 tackles: They’ve been in discussions recently about bringing back OT Mike Remmers, source said. He thrived at RT before moving to the left side out of necessity in the Super Bowl. Should have a market, but KC hopes for a return.

I mean, I shouldn’t say annoy. Wrong choice of wording. I just rarely hear the term proper when describing a player. It was just odd to me lol.

I guess if he’s the backup RT and OG but he’s not a LT. He’s proved that in two Superbowls now.

His best position is definitely on the sideline.

Remmers was pretty good at RT. He didn’t give up a single sack and only had 4 penalties at RT. That’s really good.

Here’s my problem with bringing him back...he’s not a swing tackle. He’s a RT only, so that holds diminished value. He also turns 32 next month. His history at guard isn’t good, either.

If you sign him to a small deal for next year, that’s fine but even if we go out and sign Silverback, we probably still need to add another OT in the first 3 rounds.

He was a pretty decent G last year too. There’s value in that

Chris Jones just signed his contract last year, as did Kelce. They're not restructuring either. Hitchens you might save 7 million per year on a restructure, Hill you might be able to save up to 10 at most.

45 is pure fantasy. It not just won't happen, it's not possible based on current contracts. To pretend it's "really easy to do" seems disingenuous to me, have you looked at Spotrac?

Also, why would the cap jump back up next year? Based on current plans and recommendations there's no reason to suspect there will be massive attendance at games, viewership trended way down and there's no sign of it trending back up, I'm not saying it's impossible but I see zero evidence of that happening.

I don't. I just can't see Baltimore trading them to a team they would view as their rival for the foreseeable future. If they were to trade him it would be to a team they don't view as a threat like Jax or a NFC team.

Mahomes and Jones contracts were designed to move money when needed. It is not uncommon to redo contacts to move money the year after they were signed.

Cap is driven more by TV dollars which will be increasing dramatically with the new contracts.

Why would the salary cap jump up next year?

https://buffalonews.com/sports/bills...0e615eff1.html

Idk, ask people who actually know what they're talking about, dumbass. New TV contracts mean the salary cap could be $250 million or more by 2025.

I really hope we sign Trent Williams just so I no longer have to see mock drafts where we draft 7 offensive linemen in our 8 picks.
