The only way they'd be stupider than that is that same team let the lowly 2009 Chiefs come into their house and hang, say, 44 points "on dey ass".

NO team is that ****ing stupid...

Ditto, this really sucks.

Yea, lets let him go to Dinver where he can demolish Niswanger twice a year for a couple more seasons.

And like you say, he'd be a perfect 'bridge' player to tutor our presumed rook.

Well, yeah that would be stupid. Atleast they're not stupid enough to trade a QB, oh let's just say Cutler for example, for a mediocre at best qb, like say..Orton. Only way they could top that is if they pissed of the player that made their offense even competent. But nah, they'd never be that stupid...

Pretty funny stuff on this thread.

All of this from a fanbase that is so desperate for their team to sign a FA they've actually heard about, that the Justin Fargas watch is now reaching damn near a fever pitch in the KC area.

Instead KC will probably sign a few guys that resumes include lots of "practice squad" time, and if they are lucky it'll be someone who's name is kinda familiar from their college days. Time to break out the Lindys 2006 draft issue, since its the last time anyone has written about your new "sleeper" aka "camp fodder". Except they'll most likely make the team anyway as the Chiefs try to get their payroll on par with the local Walgreens.

If the broncos do sign Jamal Williams, why don't one of you chief fans just bump one of the many Brian Dawkins threads from last year. You all basically said the same thing about that signing anyhow.

Dawkins was below average the last few games of the season. Seemed like his age/injuries were catching up to him.

BTW, Chiefs planet, ride on this fool.

All your team is doing is getting older than it already was.

Just imagine you with a ****ing clue. Did you decide on college yet, genius?
Are you actually making the assumption that he's capable of getting into college? Sure, I know that JUCO's basically have to take anyone, but even this is a stretch of that concept.

And what about that signing had a positive impact on your team other than the Doncos once again going into the crapper at the end of the season and missing out on the playoffs because the defense rolled over?

Brian "The Club" Dawkins Pro Bowl nod was akin to Al "Speed Bump" Wilson and John "Head Hunter" Lynch getting pro bowl invites.

Dismiss Dawkins all you want. While you are at it, remember that your team dumped Bernard Pollard for no good reason and he ended up having a pretty good year for another team. I guess he wasn't part of the "right" 53 even though he was clearly part of the "best" 53. Funny how your front office does not put those 2 classifications closer together. Meanwhile KC signs Mike Brown who is pretty much a no knees ultra poormans version of Brian Dawkins to take over for him. Meanwhile most of the Chiefs fanbase has Eric Berry as either their 1a or 1b wish for the 1st pick, and to noones surprise I bet the Chiefs pick the fattest lineman on the board at number 5 instead. Leaving Mike Brown and Jarrad Page as the incumbent talent for another year. Also, I believe that KC drafted a safety in the 2nd round a couple of years ago, that has made absolutely no noise yet.

Oh yeah and you guys drafted some guy that had great cakn upside to back up Priest Holmes over some safety from USC.

Speaking of safeties and all.

Ps Deron Cherry was a hell of a player though. I do remember that.

Pps Pollard had 100 plus tackles, 2 sacks, 4 picks for 121 yds and a TD, along with a forced fumble and 7 passes defensed. Got a 1st round tender last week. Not too bad.

I'm getting sidetracked though. This thread is about Jamal Williams and I take exception with the 6 pages of bashing the guy like he is Gilbert Brown making a comeback bid. If you were truthful with yourselves, you would admit that if KC signed him it would be considered a nice signing with some obvious risk of not working out, but intriguing nonetheless. I won't lie, when KC signed Kendrell Bell a ways back, I was jealous and didn't bash the player at all. I would've liked him on my favorite team, it didn't work out well for KC, but noone knew that when the ink was still wet. And if Jamal were to do a 180 and end up in KC, I would think your DLines chances for success definately improved.

The more I think about it... I'm not sure I give a Jamal Williams signing a thumbs up. The guy prior to his injury in 2009 was a stud and if that's the guy he is now, fantastic... but, at 34.. I dunno. I have read a lot of posts from Broncos' fans on several sites... they're pointing to another great FA DEF signing from years ago... Neil Smith and saying it could happen again.

I'm not buying that... Neil was 31, not 34 and not coming off an injury. Neil was 34 when he played sparingly in San Diego.

So, if it's a low dollar deal, sure... it makes sense. But, anything other than the veteran minimum... I dunno.
