Just tourism and to see some performers that will probably never perform in the US and if they do it would probably only be on the West Coast.

Probably the area around Senso-ji the temple itself is very impressive and a nice sight and the street market in front of and around it was pretty interesting. Just a little bit farther out is the Sumida river which was pretty calm and peaceful looking into the office parks on the other side.

What did you think of your boy's performance against the Chiefs last week? Are you a temporary Jags fan until Foles gets back?

I thought he looked good for the highlights I saw. I will follow but I am not gonna be a Jags fan unless they play the Donks/Pats/Raiders.

What is the weirdest/strangest thing you saw in Japan? Single incident or cultural difference.....doesn't matter.

Expected or unexpected?

Unexpected: Went to a performance for a couple groups I follow but hadn't heard of the headliner. During the performances the smallest member of one of the groups I went to see was totally into the whole show. Getting up front and hitting the pit and everything. So the headliner is a group of 3 girls and a small dude and their gimmick is that the dude wants to be in the group and the girls haze him mercilessly for it. This included having the crowd pelt him with rubber balls, beat him with inflatable bats, and throw him into by this time a quite rowdy crowd.

Suddenly, this tiny girl comes out of nowhere and jumps on him. It is the small member of the group who was enjoying the show before and just performed previously. So she jumps on him and he gives her a few spins around the crowd and she lets go and is so dizzy she just collapses into the arms of the crowd, not even the staff in the back. Very un-idol like behavior even on the alt circuit which is quite a bit more rowdy.

Expected: Hanako-san and her schtick.

I had a girlfriend in school (4th grade) that lived next door to us. Lost touch over the years and one day, just for shits and giggles, I put her name into Google.

She is now a Professor at a University in Tokyo....
