They also could view it as doing Buchanon a solid since he's been there so long to send him to a team with a chance. |

Sounds like the Cardinals have been using him similar to how we’re using Smith.
His high grade is likely because he’s doing a good job in coverage. We obviously need a guy that can cover inside on passing downs. |

If we get the both of them just kick Terrance Smith to the curb and let Zombo stick around until LDT or Sorenson are ready to come back.

Cutting Smith results in paying him the rest of the year, Zombo isn't guaranteed and doesn't get paid unless he's on the team for games.

Sounds like if we go after him it's to play edge or ILB. He's extremely versatile dunno why we wouldn't go after him honestly. He even played S in college early on I think. If he pans out at edge well now you can let go of either Houston or Ford. Pans out at ILB well now we don't need to stress about picking up a WILB

ALL this talk on roster spots and cap space makes me wonder ....what if the chiefs are working on an injury settlement with EB? Just holding that spot until they have someone locked in to replace him? Maybe his cap hit gets lower the farther into the season we get? IDk just spitballing. Would we free any money up if he retires/injury settlement?
