2019 Free agency Thread

We don't really have one of these yet, so figured we could use this as a place to discuss potential free agent acquisitions and what we would like to look for them to bring in.

If any of you guys are interested, heres a good place to do some research.

I know you guys already know all of this, but I was just wondering who all we'd signed this year when I saw this article posted.

https://www.chiefs.com/news/chiefs-b...qRJ4rzN7nIYcLc

Here’s a look at all 15 of the Chiefs’ Reserve/Future signings this year:

DT Cavon Walker
LB Martrell Spaight
WR Josh Crockett
LB Raymond Davison
OT Ryan Hunter
DT Joey Ivie
QB Chase Litton
LB Rob McCray
OT Pace Murphy
DB D’Montre Wade
TE David Wells
DT Henry Mondeaux
S Leon McQuay
RB Aaron Ripkowski
OT Justin Senior

In addition to those 15 Reserve/Future deals, the Chiefs also signed six players to contracts before the beginning of the new league year on March 13. This is permissible for players that were not under contract with another team at the time of the signing due to either not playing in 2018 or being released.

Here are those six players:

Quarterback E.J. Manuel (Feb. 22)
Defensive Back Dontae Johnson (Feb. 22)
Wide Receiver Sammie Coates (Feb. 22)
Wide Receiver Davon Grayson (Feb. 22)
Safety Harold Jones-Quartey (March 7)
Running Back Carlos Hyde (March 9)

Yep, was with the Bears & Nagy last year.

Chicago Bears
On March 16, 2018, Bray signed a one-year contract with the Chicago Bears.[74] He was waived on September 1, 2018 and was signed to the practice squad the next day.[75][76] Bray was reunited with former offensive coordinator Matt Nagy, who had just become the head coach of the Bears. He was promoted to the active roster on November 21, 2018 to serve as the backup to Chase Daniel following an injury to starter Mitchell Trubisky.[77] He was waived on December 29, 2018 and re-signed to the practice squad.[78]

On March 20, 2019, the Bears re-signed Bray to a one-year deal

Wonder what the deal is with Tre Boston? He’d be a fine FS here I’d think if they were trying to land Earl.

Poor Shawn Oakman.

The guy simply looks terrifying and had a crazy prude give him a hummer so he has no NFL career despite being exonerated.

I wouldn't mind seeing him get himself back into playing shape and see if he could work his way through the AAF or something.
