Tony Romo rumor

Gotta ask what do you guys think? There are strong rumors we are interested. I would love it if we got AJ MCCaron from Bengals.

What do you guys think

I mean why on earth would you draft anyone to play the most important position in all sports? He could bust!!1!1 unlike every other position, which is a sure bet.

actually, it can be. Games come down to a simple, single play. Make them, and you're a star... miss, and simple fans crucify.

Good of you to admit that much. As many state (including myself).. dudes better step up, because Smith will not carry you to the promised land.

Nope. Not a single play. THE END of the game... where the play makes all the difference... as you say here..

Maybe so. I'd be more convinced with less drops and decent play overall around him. Again.. not a guy that will carry a ****ed up team.. but a guy that can win it all with good solid play around him.

Smith and team had the team locked in to a tie... despite the drops and other failures from Smith himself. I am no longer (nor have ever truly been) set on Smith being beyond reproach. He didn't do all he could have. Can we say that any Chief did?

Address the posting content.. not the poster. THAT is what a mod.. or any respectable poster should do. Read it back. Did your initial post response suggest that you were a respectable poster? Be honest.
Shut the **** up.

He's right though, that game probably came down to one single play and Alex didn't see tyreek thirty yards behind everyone.

Are you saying that simple fans crucify a player for a single play? Or are you saying that games do come down to single plays and that a guy can be crucified for that play?

Also, if we are addressing posts instead of posters, shouldn't your comment about simple fans be against your own beliefs? Or is it ok since timbone fired the first shot?

I am being a little facetious in the second paragraph, but I genuinely don't understand which side you are on in this quote. You have already backed the idea of replacing Smith so I am not so much looking to disagree with you on the Fisher point but just want you to clarify your stance.

No he really isn't right.

As Hootie said, even if the Chiefs convert that 2 point play without the hold, there's very little doubt that the Steelers drive for a game winning field goal.

The defense did it's part to lose that game by allowing the Steelers to drive down the field possession after possession.

Dropped passes by Kelce, Maclin, Wilson, and the bonehead penalty by Kelce, all contributed to that loss.

The bonehead clock management on that final drive contributed.

The hold contributed.

But here's the deal.
This is why QBs get most of the credit, and most of the blame.

Everyone is focussing on that single missed play to Hill by Alex, but we've all seen the all 22 gifs that show multiple missed opportunities by Smith.

How many were there?
9?
10?

The dropped passes and bonehead penalties by all the receivers combined don't add up to the number of opportunities that Smith said.

There's this myth that Smith doesn't lose games because he plays safe, but the fact is, he misses those kind of opportunities multiple times, game in and game out.

Against good teams in the playoffs, missing those opportunities loses you those games.

This was a team losss, but Alex Smith is the single biggest reason for that loss.
