Smith and team had the team locked in to a tie... despite the drops and other failures from Smith himself. I am no longer (nor have ever truly been) set on Smith being beyond reproach. He didn't do all he could have. Can we say that any Chief did?

I am being a little facetious in the second paragraph, but I genuinely don't understand which side you are on in this quote. You have already backed the idea of replacing Smith so I am not so much looking to disagree with you on the Fisher point but just want you to clarify your stance.
