I don't understand why everyone is complaining about going to half without being aggressive...we get the ball...no reason we give them any sort of momentum...right now they are on their heals...we need to run the no huddle spread to start the half and then I'll have a little faith in Herm Edwards.

Scott Mitchell.

USELESS TRIVIA -

Mitchell and Barry Sanders are the only QB/RB combo to pass for 4,500 yards and rush for 1,500 yards respectively on the same team in the same year.

Give the player some credit. If Croyle could stay on his feet, do you really think he'd look nearly this good?

That last drive was horrible managed by Herm. Plenty of chances to get at least a FG. Wasted at least 20 seconds from the first down to the 2nd down play.

I think you're right. Didn't the Lions give him a huge deal, and he proceeded to poo the bed. Repeatedly.

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

This is the most distant thing from Herm-ball there could be...

Except for the last drive.

I pretty sure there'd be no one left to crown him.

If the Chiefs had drafted him #15 all the fans would have slit their wrists.

I love the Slingbox... if it wasn't for Slingbox, I'd be watching Big 10 garbage and the Lions every weekend (well, when the Lions aren't blacked out).

Eh, no problem... I'm not one to normally start crap or pile on, but sometimes it's fun to mix it up a little.

And that's why. Knock their ass out. We have nothing to lose. 1-7. Play balls out, especially when you have a QB playing lights out.
