Raiders' Henry Ruggs in fatal accident - will be charged with DUI resulting in death
Update: Not a rumor, actually happened. Story developing.

Per TMZ: 10:27 AM PT -- A source close to Ruggs tells us the NFL'er is expected to be OK. The condition of the other people involved in the crash is still unclear.

10:40 AM PT -- A law enforcement source tells us at least one person involved in the crash has died. Ruggs' attorney, David Chesnoff, tells TMZ Sports, "On behalf of our client Henry Ruggs III we are conducting our own investigation as of this writing and ask everyone to reserve judgment until all the facts are gathered."

I would agree but Donte Stallsworth did the same thing. Was suspended for a year and then played three years in the NFL.

So who knows? I am inclined to think that he is done.

Just depends on the optics and the information.

Either way, avoidable tragedy. Ruggs done messed up. Inexcusable mistake.

That was a more wild/permissive time in the NFL though.

I'd guess that Ruggs gets jail time on this if the facts prove out what we know now.

A little different situation here though. Stallworth hit a guy who had wandered onto the street into oncoming traffic. Equally tragic, but if what is being reported actually happened, Ruggs is toast for the foreseeable future.

Honestly a little amazed he slammed his Corvette into the back of a Toyota SUV and he wasn’t the one who died. I know the Toyota caught fire but damn those Corvettes must be better built these days than I thought.
