I want to believe, but perhaps I am just a Doubting Thomas.

Malik played in 34 games at Georgia and he had 70 tackles and 4 sacks. I think he was a rotational player at Georgia.

At the 2021 Senior Bowl practice in January, he tore his ACL.

I have read that the Chiefs are looking at Malik maybe getting healthy and being able to help in 2022.

I always want to root for a young player to come and make a difference for the Chiefs.

What is it about Mr. Herring that has you NOT doubting?

Yeah, they really are.

I also loved the picture they pulled up of him at TCU... if you do a random google search for Lucas Niang and pull up the Images tab, you have to scroll down the page to get to that phot (which I'd guess is from early in his career there, since his jr-sr game film and pics (pics that show up higher in the google search) all show a paunch that is visible even when he's wearing pads.

I'd guess he's MAYBE up 10-15 pounds from the weight he was at in his last few years at TCU. Not a concern to me at all.

And if they want him to shed that 10-15 pounds, it’s only May.

Listening to Trey Smith interview. He’s got a similar mindset to Orlando Brown Jr. He’s determined and has a strong will to meet his goals.

This OL is going to be so badass. It’s going to be even better in 2022 when they’ve had a little more time to gel

Not sure why the thought of having a dominant o-line gets me so hard but man it sure ****ing does, you can do anything you want and the other team can't do shit about it.

I think you just answered your own question.

When's the last time we had a dominant line? Run-blocking in particular has been garbage for years. Sick of seeing other teams' RBs going 6 yards untouched while ours are in a constant fight to get to the line of scrimmage.

Our offense may have been pretty dominant last year relative to the rest of the league, but the reality is that they relied heavily upon schemes, trickery and Mahomes Magic. Imagine the possibilities when they're able to finally impose their will in the trenches.

I don’t necessarily want us to run the ball more, but we need to be much more effective when we do. We have to absolutely punish teams if they start dropping 7. Need to be able to gain serious yards on the ground in those situations and any real pressure with 4 is inexcusable.

Rewatch the SB. It was a tale of two lines. One was a brick wall, the other was the grand canyon. It's not hard to imagine which line won the SB.
