To be elite again, Holland needs to sit 94-95, like tk13 said.
To be a very good reliever, he probably could work at 92-93 if his slider is still good (depth and bite). At 88-91, I would worry he is entering the same territory Tim Lincecum did when he hit his late 20s/early 30s... losing velocity as his body ages and is no longer able to squeeze as much out of a max effort delivery. Tough luck for Holland. Reading Passan's book "The Arm" gave me a new appreciation for what these guys go through post-TJ.

Hey off topic but I can't make threads. Anyone bought baseball tickets off vividseats.com? I'm trying to get my gf cards tickets for a game in St. Louis but see nothing listed on ticketmaster or their website for single game tickets.

Single game tickets don't usually go on sale until February, I believe. I think each team has specific dates, but usually around February, IIRC.

Jason Hammel and Derek Holland both had their options declined. Adds some depth to the SP market.
Holland may be a guy in line for a short/prove it type of deal who could add some rotation depth for KC. Hammel will likely get 3-4 years at pretty solid money. He's a back-end starter in the AL, but I bet he gets something similar to the Ian Kennedy contract. 4/55-60? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thx. Nevermind. Really liked Hoch. He was definitely a part of the WS run.
