691 BC. There has to be a lot of cool stuff happening then. You should consider going Olmec to figure out those big stone heads.

Babylon was sacked. Interesting. But I'd have to go to Iraq. No thanks!

Going to need to do some research here!

The location I'm going to choose is Jerimalai Cave region in East Timor. I'm choosing this location because:

1) Given that this was during an ice age, the location of East Timor in the Pacific seems less cold than say, Doggerland, where I also would have liked to have visited in 45,984 BC.
2) They totally ignored and segregated the hobbit-like species from the nearby island of Flores. Only in Middle Earth were hobbits viewed favorably, and these inhabitants of Jerimalai were no different. Nobody wants their kind here.
3) They are thought to be the first people to utilize deep-sea fishing methods. This is what I will try to document. Who wouldn't want to spend all day documenting the discovery of deep-sea fishing, lounging on a boat in the middle of the ocean?

Oh, I'm really curious about those hobbit people. That's a great choice. I hope Kimodo Island was still connected to Flores Island at that point so you can see hobbits fighting dragons.

1482 BC. We're getting some good traffic in that century. I hope you find something interesting.

This is pretty fascinating.

Thutmose I, Pharaoh of the 18th Dynasty of Egypt, died in 1482 BC. He is one of the more popular candidates for the Pharaoh of Egypt depicted in the Bible.

The Battle of Megiddo is thought by some to have occurred in 1482 (though this is not the most mainstream date, apparently). This was the first military engagement formally recorded by history and the first reported use of the composite bow. (This site is traditionally considered synonymous with the valley of Armageddon)

Thutmose I may also have been the first Egyptian ruler buried in the Valley of the Kings. You could go and perhaps see pyramids being constructed.

Well, I am disappointed by the no changing history part of the deal. But I am always up for a museum and a live one sounds pretty great. A year is a long time especially if I'm in a time that my feet are my only means of changing location, but what the hell, I am very observant. I'd do a good job. Send me in!

361 AD. I don't think they had cars then, but you've got some good civilization options to choose from.
