Gotta ask what do you guys think? There are strong rumors we are interested. I would love it if we got AJ MCCaron from Bengals.

Close to home, indoor stadium, good team.
Main thing would be an easier division to win, considering the short window he has left.

Defense? Check.
WRs? Check.
RB? Check.

The Texans would be Superbowl contenders with a healthy Tony Romo.

so comparing Romo and Smith's playoff record is a good way of saying they are equals?

Good grief.

Peyton Manning, who couldn't throw the ball further than an 8th grader, "led" his team to a Super Bowl win last year ... beating Roethlisberger, Brady and Cam.

Tony Romo has had to QB a team owned by Jerry Jones. He has, year in and year out, been a fantastic NFL QB. For a franchise so desperate for competent QB play ... it makes me LOL that you scoff at Tony Romo.

Guys I'd take, for 1 year, over Romo :

Brady
Rodgers
Wilson

and then I'd throw Romo in the Brees, Ryan, Roethlisberger, Rivers, Luck, probably missing 1 or 2 tier of you can win a Super Bowl if you have 1

Alex Smith isn't in the same stratosphere as Tony Romo. Most fans who don't watch a ton of football outside of the Chiefs hate the Cowboys for being "America's Team" (puke) and it's really easy to hate the QB and it's really easy to convince yourself he sucks because it's easier to think that way ...

reality is ... Romo is the most underrated QB I've ever witnessed. He's incredibly talented and is pretty much an Aaron Rodgers clone with a bit of a lesser arm (and older, and more fragile).

So if you like Aaron Rodgers ...

Houston is the spot for him. Solid line. Easy division with a lot less threat of pass rushers in there than here in the AFC West.

I really don't see how anyone could argue that Romo isn't far superior to Alex Smith nor an elite-type of QB in terms of ability. Romo's only problem is his injury history. People forget that Romo didn't play with an all-world offensive line for 95% of his career.

1-3 in the playoffs..... no Super Bowl.....2006 playoffs fumbled the ball on game deciding kick....2007 Cowboys eliminated from playoffs by a Romo INT in the endzone at the end of the game to lose 21-17.....2008 committed 3 turnovers in a 46-6 playoff loss to Andy Reid's Eagles.....Finally won a playoff game in 2009 only to shit the bed the next week against.....the Vikings. 3 fumbles and a INT pathetic....The rest is no playoffs and a bunch of injuries.....

Your comparison of Romo to Rodgers sucks.....

Romo is better than Alex and it's not even close. The only question mark for Romo is health. Big question but I remember people having health questions when we made the trade for Smith on that awful day.

I'd do that Smith trade 10 times out of 10 still.

What was your alternative to it?

Cool.

And then you'd end up starting Dak Prescott because Romo is too old and used up to stay on the field.

Do you want to talk about TODAY'S Tony Romo, or do you want to keep referencing his golden years as if they're somehow relevant today?
