Chances of seeing two no losses in the playoffs metting up seeming more likely.

They need to redo the playoff seeding... The East is a joke and it isn't fair to Western Conference playoff teams. Cavs get to coast through the regular season and then simply turn it on when the playoffs start and easily make the finals. This is the second-year in a row with this crap and it is plain BS.

I wish the NBA would look into this but I'm pretty sure they won't. Not the Cavs fault but still something I feel gives them an unfair advantage over Western Conference playoff teams.

I was wrong about the Celtics. The east was worse than I thought. LeBron should have asterisk next to his 7 straight finals appearances stat.

NBA desperately needs to realign the conferences.

Celtics never had a chance. The wizards could have stole two games from the cavs.. wall is that explosive.

Based on playing derozan/Lowry/it/George

Put him against 2008 celtics - one of the greatest defensive teams ever and he would lose

Would it really matter though? It has been obvious the Cavs and GSW were the two best teams before the season started.

Yes it would. Not for the top teams as much but it would definitely change how competitive the games are and how easily top teams can coast to the title. There's no reason the west teams have to have a harder road to the finals than east teams.

LeBron is shooting an absurd 64% in the playoffs this year.

Golden State is doing the exact same thing Cleveland is doing yet, people are bitching about the east competition.

The Jazz are better than anyone the Cavs have faced.

They had the best defense in the league and got smoked.

GS is getting lucky because of injuries. If Blake Griffin and Leonard didn't get hurt believe me it'd be very different.

GS also didn't coast through the regular season like the Cavs apparently did. With the Cavs dominating the way they are no way they should have won only 51-gms (Clippers and Jazz each won 51-gms as well). They didn't care because they knew they'd turn it up come playoff time (props to KC Connection for being right about this). GS wanted that #1 seed so they wouldn't have to go on the road against the Spurs, Rockets...

If they would redo the NBA seeding the Cavs wouldn't be able to get away with a 51-win regular season record. They'd have to play harder during the season otherwise they'd see GS before the finals and probably even see the Spurs in the 2nd round without home-court advantage.

It'd be better for the fans this way as well. It'd mean more competitive regular season games. I mean the way it is setup now it's like a free ride to the finals for the Cavs. It's complete BS.

I don't think the issue is with playoff seeding at all. The problem the NBA has is a lack of parity. Heck, the Warriors lost in the finals last year and then added one of the best players in the league. Meanwhile the rest of the teams get to play the part of the Washington Generals to these teams.

I would agree with you partly in regards to Leonard but it is laughable about Griffin. GS has completely owned LAC with or without Blake. Haven't they beat them like 10 straight games or something over 3 years? Yep went looked they last beat them in 2014, one time.

I agree with the rest of your post though.

Super Teams have been been around for a long time. Magic's Lakers, Bird's Celtics, Jordan's Bulls. It sucks for fans of the Nets et al., but such teams make great Heroes/Villians for the league.
