You should redo your math. You're using actual tested positives to come up with your death rate, not estimated cases. The WHO now estimates that 10 percent of the population has had Covid-19. That would be closer to .7% death rate. https://www.usnews.com/news/health-n...bal-population

Using your math the death rate per case for the flu in 2019 would have been 19%. During the 2019 Flu season it's estimated that 35.5 million people had the flu and 34,200 people died from it. However, only 177,039 people actually tested positive for the flu. I'm not meaning to flip anybody off. :-)

In normal times we don't measure death rate based on actual tested positive cases we base it on estimated cases. Just pointing it out.
