If it was just me, there's no way I'd drop $30 dollars to stream a movie when I can wait three months to watch it with a subscription or purchase a Digital Code for $12 dollars or less.

It reminded me a bit of Ant-Man and the Wasp in that was a sort of a heist movie, but doesn't necessarily try as hard to be comedic. Taskmaster's origin is also somewhat similar to the Ghost's in that it stems from a "tragic" background of a daughter involving their father. Taskmaster should've gotten more screen time, IMO.

All in all, I thought it was an enjoyable film. I'm not sure how I feel about having the setting of the movie take place between Civil War and Infinity War as it just seems like those movies/Phase 3 seem to be completely done with at this point.

In one year, five years or ten, it won't matter when the film was released because when people decide to watch them in their chronological order, it will be seamless.

Black Widow definitely provides the motivation for Natasha's choice in Endgame as well.

That’s a fair view and I get it. I just wish it was moreso before she was an Avenger or early on when she was an Avenger.

I had no problem with Ant-Man and the Wasp taking place during Infinity War and wish Black Widow was tied into Civil War/Infinity War as loosely as Ant-Man and the Wasp was. Cut a majority of those tie-ins and dive deeper into her family for possible expanded presence for future films and I think it would’ve been better.

The movie seems to be doing well enough that if Marvel decided they want a sequel/prequel, the audience will be there but I kind of doubt that happens because I think Scarlett Johansson wants to move on from the role.

That said, I wouldn't be even a bit surprised if Marvel explores the Red Guardian in TV series form. Rachel Weisz might be a stretch for a TV series but David Harbour is right at home in the medium and I think the series could be a super fun watch.

I loved it. I'll probably go see it once more in theaters. That first like 20 min I was thinking damn this is dark. Only gripe is I wanted more Taskmaster but thought it was great. I am very much looking forward to more Yelena.

The MCU has plans for Yelena she fought Natasha to a draw. I was thinking Nat's going to curb stomped this broad but alas she held her own

Yes, I love me some Yelena. I've read some comics in the past. Pugh knocked it out the park. I've only seen her in 'fighting with the family' and loved her in it. She will be in the MCU for a very long time. Can't wait to see her meet Barton in Hawkeye.

The movie was even better the second time, probably because I was so tired after staying up until 2:30 to watch it the previous night.

David Harbour just absolutely slays in this movie and I hope we get to see more of him (and the entire family) again. The screenwriter of this film also wrote Thor: Ragnarok and many of the comedic elements are on par with that film.

It would have been nice had this been released before TFATWS, which was the plan before COVID, because Harbour's character, the Red Guardian, had a backstory similar that of Isiah Bradley, so his inclusion in the TFATWS wouldn't have seemed as "preachy", IMO.

But yeah, Harbour owned every scene in which he appeared and it would be awesome to see him at some point in future MCU projects.

The film also confirmed that Natasha was genetically enhanced, which is why she can hold her own against actual superheroes.

Harbour is good in everything that he’s in. Unfortunately he couldn’t save Hellboy.

This is a pretty good movie. I enjoyed it. I like the character and I like the actress though. They put in a bit of girl power type stuff but that is certainly to be expected in a movie like this and it was woven into the movie quite well.
