Side Note for you - Carlos Hyde has started 3 games for the Texans (2 - 1), carried the ball 40 times for 192 yards and a 4.8 average and 1TD.

The Chiefs made the right move with keeping the running backs that they did, but all of them (Williams, Williams, Thompson, McCoy, and Sherman) are good enough that other NFL teams would love to have them.

I don't really know how a running back can't flourish in this offense. Pick up any fast WR from NAIA or a D2 All-american RB and you probably would barely see a drop off.

Darwin Thompson is a good football player and for the Chiefs, the 6th round (214) was a perfect spot to draft him.

He will get an opportunity to shine in later games, possibly Detroit.

They have been mostly good under Andy Reid but 2015 was maybe the worst year.
Charcandrick West was leading rusher for 634 yards, Spencer Ware 403 yards, Jamaal Charles 364 yards, and Knile Davis 72 yards.

You can go back a few years and find some pretty bad ones.
2011 - Thomas Jones, Jackie Battle, Dexter McCluster, Injured Jamaal Charles
2010 - Thomas Jones, Jackie Battle, Dexter McCluster, Healthy Jamaal Charles. Charles was good but they started Jones and gave him the most carries.
2009 - Larry Johnson (fading), Jackie Battle, Kolby Smith, Jamaal Charles - was very good but they started Johnson and gave him 132 carries.
2008 - Larry Johnson (874 yards), Kolby Smith, Jamaal Charles, only had 67 carries and 367 yards.

Darrel is a pretty well rounded back good size, good hands, good physicality and enough speed to take advantage of openings.
