Chiefs trying to trade Justin Houston

CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora reports the Chiefs talking to teams about trading OLB Justin Houston.

We doubt they're successful. Houston turned 30 last month and carries an exorbitant $21.1 million cap hit. If the Chiefs don't find a trade partner, they're fully expected to release Houston, especially with Dee Ford likely coming back on either a big-money deal or the franchise tag. Houston's play has slipped in recent years, but he can be an effective sub-package rusher off the edge

Bennett is older than Houston, and not as good. Why would KC cut Houston to get Bennett?

So Pats let someone else pay Flowers and lose nothing by getting a cheap version in Bennet. This is the shit we should do but never will. We always keep pay big contracts that we regret.

Red Dawg needs to take a break from CP for awhile. Maybe take a vacation to Oakland to get a feel for what it's like to actually be hopeless.

They are going to let Flowers walk, probably get a 3rd rd comp for him while they trade peanuts for a Justin Houston caliber rusher at half of Houston’s price and probably $10 million less than Flowers.

That isn’t a good move?

What the **** are you talking about?

What does this have to do with what I just said? You’re also trying to give the Pats credit for ****ing us with Houston.

Stop sucking their dick for two seconds. Jesus.

If we can’t get anything for him...They should just keep Houston and write him a check for 7m as a signing bonus that pushes that dead $ amount to next year...but saves 7m this year. Next year offer him a Suggs style extension and if he doesn’t want to, then release him then.

Yeah man I’m sure teams will change their mind on trading for Houston when the first team to get a pass rusher got the same caliber player for half the price.

Any sort of small chance that Houston gets traded is over.

No. There is no way we should keep him. We are publicly trying to get rid of him and you think he will just come back a happy camper and play hard. He wont. Ford has to go as well.

It is a good move. The type of shit KC is to stupid to do. We would give Flowers the moon like idiots. We are going to Hill the moon like idiots.

Again, that’s not what I’m saying at all. We likely wouldn’t find a trade partner regardless, but you’re using it as an opportunity to suck the Pats dick. This is what you do when you have an agenda just like with Reid. You spin everything into your narrative.

If Andy ever wins a Super Bowl, no less 6, he’ll start getting his ass kissed.
