Dropping 40 on the Pats isn't flaming out man.

It's only 1 loss. 1 Loss means nothing when you have a generational talent at Qb.

Do you honestly think they can roll into 3 Rivers or Foxboro in January and win with this defense?

It wasn't a meaningless loss.

And yeah, when your QB plays like Mahomes did in the 2nd half, losing like that absolutely is flaming out.

That's great for you. I'm glad for you. I can't do that anymore. Too many years of disappointment.

Hopefully the defense improves and this is all moot.

Who said we have to roll into 3 Rivers or Foxboro? That may not be the case at all. And ideally, this defense will get some talent back by then with Berry, Houston and Sorenson. Nah, im not one that thinks Berry is washed up. I think he WILL come out and perform well. I don't believe his character all of a sudden shifted when he got paid either.

Fact is, they just went and played what will be the most difficult game all season and hung with an inspired Pats team. 43-40 is a damn good game, not a flame out. We talk about our D being bad while ignoring the fact that the Pats had to hang 43 to beat us.

They were never going to run the table. It's 1 out of a probable 3-4 losses.

I get where htismaqe is coming from. I guarantee you that if we had even an average defense....he'd be the biggest homer on this board. But this ****ing defense is going to lose us games.....and it's more than likely going to be in the playoffs.

You know, it's funny.

When I said before week 1 that the Chiefs would blow out the Chargers and the Chargers would struggle to score more than a couple TDs against them, I got ridiculed and singled out as stupid.

So much group think here...

I'd have to go find it and don't really feel like doing that, to be honest.

It's all good. I'm gonna go lay down anyway, freaking cold season already!

That isn't anything new, the fact was that the group think here blamed Smith for every loss, regardless.

That one loss didn't affect me a bit. Made a post the morning of the game about how I felt. Didn't expect to win that game at the beginning of the year so wasn't expecting it that night.

Yeah, we came up short. Yeah, our D sucks. And yeah, we were short guys. But we came that close to beating them in their house and going 6-0. That ain't too shabby.
With NE not getting a flag I might add.

Do I expect a SB this year? No. I didn't before the season so why would I expect one now.

The future is bright folks. Stay the course, thousand points of light, Yada Yada.

Smith had better defenses....you can't sit here and deny that.

And those defenses gave up leads in the playoffs, while the o struggled.

This isn't about Smith, it's about how the D has been a liability for quite some time.

Mahomes is not going to be able to bail them out every time.

He can at least bail them out. Smith never could.
