The list is getting smaller, but there are a lot of free agent TEs on the market that could be decent as a backup and would be less expensive. Best thing though. Free agents don't cost draft picks, unless you are figuring on future comp picks.

1. Kyle Rudolph - Age 32, Minnesota Vikings - 2020 - 12 games, 28/37 catch rate, 334 YDS, 1 TD

2. Jared Cook - Age 34, New Orleans Saints - 2020 - 15 games, 37/60 catch rate, 504 YDS, 7 TD

3. Jesse James - Age 27, Detroit Lions - 2020 - 16 games, 14/22 catch rate, 129 YDS, 2 TD

4. Tyler Eifert - Age 31, Jacksonville Jaguars - 2020 - 15 games, 36/60 catch rate, 349 YDS, 2 TD

5. Gerald Everett - Age 27, LA Ram - 2020 - 16 games, 41/62 catch rate, 417 YDS, 1 TD

6. James O'Shaughnessy - Age 29, Jacksonville Jaguars - 2020 - 15 games, 28/38 catch rate, 262 YDS, 0 TD

7. Richard Rodgers - Age 29, Philadelphia Eagles - 2020 - 14 games, 24/31 catch rate, 345 YDS, 2 TD

Why isn't Jordan Reed on this list? Especially as he's better than the majority of those guys.

Also draft a TE would be a good.

Travis Kelce, Kyle Rudolph, and Tre' McKitty would be fun to watch.

Jordan could be a good choice but he has a real concern with injuries and concussions.

https://sportsinjurypredictor.com/pl...rdan-reed/6714 - 99% chance of injury for 2021

Anyway, back to Zach Ertz. The Chiefs could really use a couple of good backup TEs, but would not want to pay Zach's salary or give up draft picks for him
