As the NFL explains, compensatory picks are awarded to teams that lose more or better compensatory free agents than they acquire. The number of picks a team can receive equals the net loss of compensatory free agents, up to a maximum of four. I'm guessing it's a 5th at the very worst, and probably a 3rd or 4th.

I don't think there's any way the Chiefs get a 3rd rounder. Biggest factors are contract signed and playing time.

I doubt it's been updated for the post season honors yet. From what's said below, I don't think it'll move the pick a whole lot though. Directly from their site:

The first phase necessary to execute these cancellations are to value each UFA that changed teams. OTC’s program does this by using the following steps:

Probably never, and never again. If they wanted to hookup the Chiefs and not divulge the formula, they could totally do it. Not like they will ever have to use this case as a reference. Should give us a 3rd for the combo of Foles and Pederson.
