You aren't required to use a timeout for player injury in basketball. Not sure where you are getting that. They won't stop play if the other team is on a break, but once there's a lull in the game, they'll stop play for the injured player.

No need to be a dick about it. I have never bothered to read the rules of a game I don't play. It seems odd to me that a guy could fake being injured in order to slow down the flow of a game that is getting away from them. That's all. Plus it's annoying as **** listening to the pro mich announcers and seeing quite the disparity on what is or isn't called as fouls.
