The name "Dee Ford" just feels destined to be forgotten. It's got no weight to it. No panache. It kind of just falls out of the mouth as if by accident. He might as well go ahead and legally change his last name to "Who?"

(This is the sort of cogent analysis and insight I hope to offer as a member of this board.)

Still not sure why we took Dee Ford. Instead of OL or WR.

Because elite pass rushers are worth more than elite tackles or receivers.

They're also more difficult to find, especially outside of the top ten.

Judging a player on his name....right.

His reaction to the snap is ridiculously fast and I caught myself thinking how the **** was he not offsides

Quote:
His pro day show included a 35 1/2-inch vertical, 10-foot-4-inch broad jump, 29 reps of 225 pounds on the bench press and a 40-yard time of 4.53 seconds. There is something special here. Ford is a vocal and physical leader who could pay the most consistent, long-term dividends of any defensive end in this draft -- yes, including Jadeveon Clowney. He would be a steal after the middle of the first round, assuming his back in OK

We need pass rush, and we got it. That's a win in my book. All these people crying over "didn't draft _____" or we needed to fill _____ position more. All I heard before our pick was "no o lineman" then we go defense which was our Achilles heel for 2/3 of the season and 60% of the board turns into a bunch of crying pussys. I understand everyone want this person or that person, but damn we just picked him and people are basically declaring him a bust, or putting him on the ir already. Take a breath haters. JFC!!

The Saints drafted will Smith when they had two terrific des in Charles grant and Darren Howard.

The Giants drafted matthias kiwanuka when they already had Strahan and osi. Even with all those guys they drafted Justin tuck. Two first rounders for a team that decided to bpa instead of meeting an immediate need. What they did doesn't feel much different for what the Chiefs did. Let's just hope Ford is the right guy. At least we are gunning after impact players

Great now we got another guy to complain that get held all the time rushing the passer.

Over/under on how many times he gets held in games compared to Tamba Hali?
