Oh come on, that's not it and you know it. It's about injuries that start day-to-day, then go month-to-month and then see you next season. It's about injuries that seem to get worse after treatment. It's about Watkins being allowed to practice only for things to get worse(apparently). The same thing seems to happen to Houston a few years ago.

The handling of injuries for the Chiefs used to be rock solid. There was a plan, that plan was followed and the plan was on the money. Now, it just appears to be a mess.

tired of the Chiefs most expensive (overpaid) players being the ones who can't escape the ice tub.

This situation bothers me.

Much like when a team loses a QB and they sign a veteran off the streets to play over their 2nd or 3rd string QBs. If Dieter and Kemp aren't capable of stepping up and being productive at WR, and we have to sign a WR that wasn't good enough to play for a bad team, why are they on the team at all?

I know they play on Special Teams, but as valuable as roster spots are deep into the season you would hope that the players who are going to help your team win are already on your team.

Yup. The part that bothers me most is how many times players practice or play when they shouldn't. You can't avoid injuries. But we have a history of rushing players back only to aggravate the injuries. That's the part that pisses me off the most.

@ProFootballDoc: If #SammyWatkins foot issue is related to his previous 5th metatarsal fracture/surgery, he could be out for @Chiefs postseason too.

Right now veachs track record includes a $16m receiver who injured the same damn foot we knew was unhealthy, an underperforming lb, and a pretty average draft. If not for a solid Alex Smith trade, this offseason was a failure.

Dieter is the closest teammate to Mahomes. They and their girlfriends see each other socially, hang out together all the time. He's a practice squad player. The Chiefs had better not be seen as doing Dieter "wrong". Whoever is our 7th/8th reciever doesnt matter compared to ticking off Mahomes.

I’m pretty sure this foot either got stepped on by a Browns CB or the guy rolled it up a bit. Not something that resulted from anything in the past.

only IF we don't host the AFCCG in Arrowhead at the very least and even IF that doesn't happen(God forbid) Veach will still be hailed because he pounded the desk for Mahomes in the very get go. You sure can't blame him for not trying because who else was out there on the cheap that was available? But I get your point.

It doesn't change the fact that we signed a guy who was injury prone, and nobody is surprised he got injured.
