Firing the playcaller sends a real message of accountability this late in a season.

**** NEXT YEAR. **** THE DEFENSE IS A YEAR AWAY NARRATIVE. YOU HAVE A WIZARD AT QB WITH AN OFFENSE ABOUT TO GET HEALTHY BUT YOU ALLOW THE ELEPHANT TO STAY IN THE ROOM? **** THAT NOISE.

I want some offensive players to speak up. This team could use some tension/infighting. Enough with Reid’s “we gotta be better” speeches.

Embrace the urgency. Sutton needs to be canned TODAY.
Northman, you will note I was nowhere near the board during the game or after it. Nor am I going to even waste my time talking about a game I knew was over before it began.
Peace.

KC press conference reporters are spineless. Never press on anything.

I don't think you can really just play man coverage anymore. I don't think the rules allow for it. There will never be another 'Revis island'. I think you MUST play zone, must keep the play in front of you. Ward gave up like 80 ****ing yards on two plays in which he had perfect coverage (with no safety help) on perfect throws and great catches. I mean, he played it perfectly. What do you want him to do? Conversely, the long one on Nelson with the DPI tacked on- also perfect positioning, and he did what he always does, which is mug the receiver. It's called EVERY TIME. Also-no safety help. This isn't 1990. You can't play that way anymore.

And who is it that is NOT pushing an aggressive culture where tackling is God, aggression is King, and failure to comply will result in consequences?

Thomas is a life long Chief and a legend...but yes. The entire defensive staff needs to go.

Re-assign Reid's kid to the assistant strength coach of whatever....but completely clean house on that side of the ball.

The shame with Nelson is that he is physically around the play a lot. He just has no ball sense. If he turned around and played the ball more, he would be a lot better. The play you are talking about is the prime example. He could have caught that ball himself or that the very least pushed Baldwin out of bounds the second he caught it.

The Vikings dumped their OC for less and look what happened there. There is no reason for us not to do the same with Sutton.
