im confused, according to sportrac our cap is only 9 million as off right now. Didn't we have 28 million + mvs 12 million so 40 million minus the 20 for sneed tag so we should have 20 million?

Repeatedly a bunch of players qualified for performance based rookie contract escalation. Not sure if this accounts for all of the difference or not. Also with the Sneed tag, that's 19.8 million

we don’t have much with cap space right now. trading sneed saves us about $20 M in cap. we cannot sign him and Jones.

what compensation can we possibly get for him? if it’s a 1st i’d be thrilled.

I remember we were lucky to get a second for Peters back in the day but we gave up a little too. A second is about all Sneed is worth. I'll take it though.

Posted this in another thread but we had 28 mil but it got lowered to 16.9 because Bolton, Creed, Trey, and Gray all got 4th year guaranteed raises based on the performance escalator. Also gotta subtract 7 mil for rookies… so the 17 mil minus 7 mil plus 12 mil from MVS gives us 22 mil to play with
