I think Wilson is one of the most over rated players in the league.

Listen up because my opinion is not important, this next part is what is important.

The Seahawks had so much success because Wilson was good enough, AND he was playing on his rookie deal.

That's what we are set up for right now.

Nah they won because of his elite play. Imagine the Superbowl the chiefs could have won with a QB who could average 174 yards and 1 TD a game.

Yep. They weren't paying a broke dick 17 mil to throw for less than 1 td per game.

Houston had more sacks than Alex had touchdown passes in 14. How sad is that?

FYP

and if you will watch 2017 KC football... you will suck on that Ass for at least one more year... too bad for you. Could be too bad for all of us.. but at least some can expect to enjoy winning/competitive football for much of the year.

Look, I don't think Alex is great, and am coming around to him never stepping up enough to make up for other KC deficiencies. That would take a very special QB. That said, the decisions are out of our hands.. and I for one refuse to be a sniveling bitch about the team all year long, as I wait for this QBotF.

It's your call on how you deal with it. Shrug, watch, and take whatever good comes from it.. or pout in the corner all year.. like a sniveling bitch.

If Alex had even 1/4 of the balls that his stupid cult possesses, we wouldn't even be having this conversation.

Seahawks won because of a great run game, a very smart game manager, and a world class elite defense. Saying otherwise is just stupid.

Guys like Wilson, Prescott, Elway, and Aikman are going to be winning more rings at their rate playing on teams with a well-balanced offense compared to the other guys like Rodgers/Brees/Peyton/Young/Marino/Favre who usually have just a strong passing game.

Matt Ryan couldn't take his game to the next level until he had a 2 headed monster at RB with Coleman and Freeman. Just look at how his productivity skyrocketed by throwing dump off passes.

What? Mahomes at the KC airport. I will say this much for this draft talk. I can't remember the last time the media really thought the we would take a qb early. It's been a very long time.

And that's two years we could continue developing Alex Smith.

I agree but Smith may as well be over. Mahomes could throw more than 15 tds with the players we have. No to mention getting the ball handed to him with takeaways.

15tds and how many interceptions?

7 ... 8?

I just don't see Mahomes being an Andy Reid type guy. At this point in his career, Reid seems to prefer conservative offense and win with defense. He did that in philly for the most part too.

Which is why I don't want him. I don't get why people hate Smith but yet are okay with drafting a 2 year project QB. That's the exact reason I don't want him. I don't want Smith past this upcoming season. I want a QB that will be ready to start the 2018 season.

Getting a young cheap QB to throw 15 TD's isn't hard. We are paying Alex top 10 caliber $$ and are getting bottom 10 caliber production.

At least this would free up $$ to keep and add talent to the roster, regardless of where we pick. Even drafting a 4th rd pick like Kaaya/Dobbs and playing him a year or two before finding your QB in rd 1 is a good idea.

The biggest problem is Alex's salary in comparison to production. It's crippling this team.
